Nairobi, Kenya – The mild arabica coffee price in Kenya increased by 1.4% at the latest auction, according to the Nairobi Coffee Exchange (NCE).
The average price for a 50-kilogram bag of coffee beans was $196.95, up from $194.22 during the previous auction held on December 19, as stated in the NCE’s provisional market summary report.
A total of 1,051 metric tons of green coffee beans were sold for $4.14 million, in comparison to 1,377 tons sold for $5.35 million during the previous auction.

The majority of Kenyan arabica coffee is sold through the NCE’s auctions, with most of it being exported. However, direct sales are permitted as well. These auctions utilize the New York ICE futures index as their benchmark.
