GerFX Density Scalper is a night scalping system that uses the mean reversion method. It is optimized to limit slippage. It includes different parameters designed for making profitable entries and other improvements in the working of the EA. The developer provides backtesting results and real trading info that show a high profit factor and low drawdown. However, we find the pricing is exorbitant and there is no money-back guarantee. Further, night scalping systems can react negatively to big lot sizes and unexpected news events.
Vendor transparency
This FX EA is developed by Paul Exler, the CEO of Exler Consulting. He has more than 6 years of experience in the field and has a team of expert traders with more than 10 years of experience. He has created 12 products and 18 signals. Other products of the developer include Protection Filter, NightWalker, Momentum Capture, QuantFlow, etc. Unfortunately, we could not find company info like its founding year, team members, reputation, location address, etc. For support, the messaging option on the MQL5 site is the only method available.
How GerFX Density Scalper works
As per the author, this EA uses mean reversion for precise trade entries and exits. It works only during the night session and uses optimizations like reduced entry logic for faster calculation and the use of TP for exits leading to positive slippage.
Some of the key features that the developer provides for this FX EA are:
- It does not use methods like the gird or Martingale for its strategy.
- The ATS uses a stop loss for each position.
- As per the developer, it had a maximum drawdown of $35 to $50 in backtesting done for 16 years.
The developer claims that the past performance does not guarantee future profitability and that the system can make losses. He also warns about the losses you can incur if the mean reversion approach is affected by unexpected crashes or news events.
Timeframe, currency pairs, deposit
The ATS works mainly on the EURUSD, GBPUSD, USDCHF, EURCHF, EURCAD, AUDUSD, EURAUD, CHFJPY, AUDCAD, and AUDNZD. It uses the M5 timeframe for live trading and H1 or a higher time frame for strategy testing. We could not find info on the recommended deposit, leverage, etc.
Trading approach
A night scalping approach with mean reversion is the main approach used by this FX robot. The author claims that the EA is identical to the QuantFlow scalping system but with some optimizations that reduce slippage and increase calculation speed to ensure better returns and a low drawdown. As per the author, the robot uses an SL for each position.
Pricing and refund
To buy this FX robot, you need to pay $2000. Rental packages are offered for the ATS which include a one-month rental costing $140, a three-month rental package that costs $370, a 6-month rental costing $700, and an annual rental costing $1250. A free demo account is offered with the package. But there are no further details on the features available with the packages. We could not find a refund policy which makes us suspect the reliability of the system. When compared to the market average, we find the pricing packages are exorbitant.
Trading results
The developer does not provide strategy tester results for the FX EA. However, he provides some stats in tabulated form for a few of his products including this Density Scalper EA. As seen in the image above, the profit factor was 2.76 and the return to drawdown ratio was 187. The maximum drawdown for a lot of 0.01 was $50. From the info present, we find that the drawdown was low indicating that the approach is not risky.
The author provides a real EUR account verified by the myfxbook site. Here are a few screenshots of the account using the Pepperstone broker and the leverage of 1:1 on the MT5 platform.
From the above trading stats, we find that the total return is 32.97% and the absolute profit is 34.64%. A monthly and daily return of 2.24% and 0.07% respectively are present. The drawdown is 2.78%. For a deposit of €159, the live account that started in January 2021, has completed 468 trades with 77% profitability and a profit factor of 2.28. A lot size of 0.01 is used for the trades. From the results, we can see the drawdown is very low but the profits are not high. The backtesting stats also confirm the same.
People say that GerFX Density Scalper is…

Verdict
Pros | Cons |
It is a fully automated system | Pricing is expensive |
Verified trading results | No money-back-guarantee is present |
GerFX Density Scalper assures a low drawdown and high returns with its night scalping method. Our evaluation reveals that the real trading stats indicate a low drawdown as claimed by the vendor. But the profits are average. Further, there are other factors to consider like the exorbitant pricing and the absence of a money-back guarantee.
